Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

PGTEK wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or who navigate with reduced motion. We are actively working toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the widely-adopted standard for web accessibility.

What We've Done

• Automated accessibility testing (axe-core) across every page, with issues it surfaces fixed rather than suppressed
• Keyboard navigation throughout, including dropdown menus, the mobile navigation drawer, and form controls
• The mobile navigation drawer behaves as a proper modal dialog: it traps focus while open, is announced to screen readers, and returns focus to where you were when closed
• Visible focus indicators on every interactive element for keyboard users
• Skip-to-main-content link on every page
• Auto-scrolling and auto-updating content (the partner logo strip, the newsroom feed) can be paused, and pauses automatically for anyone with "reduce motion" set at the OS level
• Text and interactive elements checked against WCAG AA contrast minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for larger text) against their backgrounds
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful images, and decorative images marked so screen readers skip them
• Live-region announcements when dynamic content changes, such as job listing counts on the Careers page

Known Limitations

In the interest of being straightforward about where we still have work to do:

• The compliance PDFs linked from the Careers page come from federal agencies and have not been individually verified for tagged-PDF screen reader structure on our end
• The live job board on the Careers page is pulled from a third-party recruiting platform (Workable); its accessibility depends in part on that platform
• Some imagery on the site is placeholder content pending final licensed assets, and may not yet have final production alt text
